Get More Profitable with A Faster Windows XP
A slow personal computer should be history. In this day of innovations and technology, having a slow personal computer will give you the idea of living through ancient times. Bcause of this that people usually search how to speed up their computers.
If you are experiencing this, then you just came to right place. Yes, there is a lot of tweaking and modifying involved in speeding up a PC. But then again, these effortless things are worth a try.
Here are some ways to speed up my Windows:
> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Cut down the time it takes for menu transitions by right-clicking your desktop. Click Properties and Click the Effects tab. Unchoose the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, you can do this by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties, clicking the Appearance tab, clicking the Effects option and uncheck Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Select OK.
> Speed up Windows Start Up by cleaning out the programs you dont use at start-up. For those who use Windows 98, this could be done through Start menu and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. Hit the Start up tab then unmark the programs you want to stop throughout the startup. As you see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you decrease the programs and applications that your computer needs to run.
> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. search for the defragement option on the System Tools. Be sure that you dedicate a time for defragging. Using various applications as the same time as defragging confines the process itself.
> Choosing to install your applications is recommended if you usually experience errors. Always scan your PC for viruses before backing up any files. Also, make sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Reinstalling your application takes at least an hour or so
> Removing programs that you do not use. Software, whether you are utilizing them or not, eat up space in your hard disk. If you arent making use of them, then remove them. computer errors troubleshooting
