conficker C disables security applications and blocks many security related websites. This feature alone is quite dangerous because compromised machine becomes vulnerable for various cyber attacks. However, the main goal of the worm is to join computers into a giant botnet. Since a machine infected with Conficker is unprotected, it can be infected with other malwares. This can lead to stolen information and other problems. Zombie networks are usually employed to do different jobs: they might be used to send spam, to do DDoS attacks and to cause similar troubles. Once a computer is infected with Downadup a.k.a. Conficker, it can be used for all these things any time.
Click here to remove Conficker manually.
Click here to remove Conficker B++ manually.
Click here to remove Conficker.C a.k.a. w32.Downadup.C manually.
Conficker.C is distributed very effectively through the local networks and removable memory. If your computer belongs to any local network, your chances to be infected are increasing in direct proportion to the number of computers in that network. That is to say that Conficker.C, unlike adware, is hardly detectable without special program, and Conficker.C removal may be problematic, because the program may replicate itself and hide the copies at various locations. It is rather possible to assess your chances to be infected, but not to detect Conficker.C.
However, the trojan presence may be established, if the trojan has already hijacked the browser and blocked all the websites and / or disabled legitimate programs, especially security tools, and / or disabled Windows Installer so that you cannot install new programs, hence you cannot install any antivirus as well.
Conficker.C, aka Worm:Win32/Conficker.D, W32/Confick-G, and Trojan.Win32.Pakes.ngs, is a brand new modified version of the horrible Conficker worm which caused PC users’ lots of headaches since being spotted in late 2008. Conficker.C is scheduled to attack on April 1st. Conficker.C will have the ability to perform many damaging acts to your computer. It will try to disable your Windows Automatic Update and stop you from accessing Windows Security Center. Conficker.C will prevent you from restarting in Safe Mode and delete all your system restore points.
Security experts have discovered a security hole within the coding that commands Conficker Worm. This discovery may be the light at the end of the tunnel for those who worry that Conficker.C may be a devastating and an uncontrollable worm infection, infecting millions of computers all over the world. You may ask, what is this special discovery and how will it ease the worry of Conficker.C?
The new discovery, that could make it easier to isolate Conficker infected systems, is not being heavily emphasized because it could give criminals a way to secretly hijack millions of computers. Security researchers and even the Conficker Cabal, a group of anti-worm researchers, are aware that exploiting too much information about discovered lapses or vulnerabilities within the Conficker coding could give the creators or hackers a new alternative to making Conficker or a newer worm infection even more devastating.

windows vista SP1 support is over [download os]
Microsoft's official support for its Windows Vista operating system with the first service pack has now officially ended. As noted on the Windows support web site, the official support for that version of the OS ended on Tuesday. People who are still using Windows Vista with SP1 installed are now advised to upgrade to the second service pack for the OS if they want to continue to receive updates that will protect and fix Vista from exploits and bugs.
While Windows Vista SP2 will continue to be supported by Microsoft for some time, the official Windows blog site still recommends that anyone that is still running a PC on Vista to make the big upgrade to the current version of the OS, Windows 7. As we reported earlier this week, an even older version of the operating system, Windows XP, now has less than 1,000 days of official support before Microsoft retires that OS.
Windows Vista launched in early 2007 for consumers after a long time period between Vista's release and the release of Windows XP, However the operating system turned out to be something of a disappointment for many users due to bugs and lack of third party driver support at first. Microsoft quickly released Windows 7 in the fall of 2009 which was much more popular. In the latest Steam hardware survey, It shows that Windows 7 is being used by nearly half of all Steam users. However PCs with Vista installed only account for less than 25 percent of Steam users.

Vista Auto Tuning
Not long ago I realized that Vista Auto Tuning slows Internet connection. But it could be easily disabled with the following command:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning = diabled
To check if Vista Auto Tuning is disabled use the command:
netsh interface tcp show global
“Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level” should appear with the disabled.
TTL value Change in Windows Vista
TTL field from an IP packet looks through how many links the packet could be transmitted. Routers decreases TTL of the packets of data with 1 in each transmission. When TTL reaches 0 IP package is not sent and an ICMP message is sent.
Initial value is set by the system trying to communicate, for example, Windows Vista sets the TTL to 128.
You can change the TTL value in Windows Vista with the command:
netsh interface set global IPv4 TTL = defaultcurhoplimit
or by registers changes:
DefaultTTL
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet \Services\Tcpip\Parameters
Value type: REG_DWORD
Valid range: 0 – 255
Default: 128
Present by default: NO
Customizing Vista Clock
Clock bar taskuri least Windows has been improved.
If you click on it once, you’ll see an option to go to Change Date and Time Settings (Adding date and time). Here you have 3 boxes tab.
1. In the Date and Time (Date and Time) can check if your system is set to correct time zone.
2. Additional clocks enables you to add other clocks for different time zones. This can be useful if you have contacts in areas with a different time zone.
3.
Internet Time lets you synchronize the clock with a time server online. By default, this is time.windows.com.
System Quick Stop
This is a simple and funny way to end your working day.
You can configure Vista to be do stop the system quickly when you press the button on / off or when you close the lid.
How to do this:
1. Click the Windows Orb – Control Panel (Windows Control Panel)
2. Switch to Classic View
3. Go to Power Options
4. Click ‘Choose what the power button does’ (Select the operating way: button on / off)
5. Here you can decide what will system do when pressing the on / off or closing the notebook lid.
I do not recommend setting the option to Do Nothing (no action) on closing the lid, as certainly do not want to carry a working notebook in your bag.
Disk Cleanup
Disk Cleanup is one of the applications that have not changed much in Windows Vista. Functionality has remained the same and the interface was changed here and there. There were no additional items added. Like previous versions, Disk Cleanup scans your disks, find files that are not needed and remove them increasing the free space and help your computer run somewhat faster. So, I would like to show you how to work with it and how to save some precious space on your hard disk.
Disk Cleanup is found in Start Menu in Accessories -> System Tools. As an alternative way, you can always use the search box to type in the word “disk”. The first result should be the shortcut to Disk Cleanup.
When the application is initiated, you must select the partition you want to clean and then click OK.
Disk Cleanup will scan the selected partition and will calculate how much space can be issued.
After a while, you will see the process results: the total space that can be issued which is then detailed in categories of files that can be removed. Select the categories you want to delete and click OK.
Disk Cleanup will require confirmation. Click on Delete files and erasing process will be initiated.
Wait until you fill the progress bar window appears and Disk Cleanup.
If you are not satisfied with the amount of space that has been issued, go to the More Options tab in Disk Cleanup window. Here, you can remove the most recent System Restore points or you can uninstall some programs that you have in your computer.
By clicking first on the Clean up button, you’ll be led to the Programs and Features. There you will find a list of all installed applications. Select the one you want so uninstall, click Uninstall / Change and follow the wizard to uninstall the applications.
If you click on the second Clean Up button will delete all the System Restore on this partition, except the most recent. If you had System Restore points, you get pretty much space compared with the first option.
